This will be Coach Tammy's second year with CCVC, after taking a season off, she is returning as an a Co-coach for with the 12's Competitive Travel Team.
Coach Tammy attended Jordan High School lettering in Basketball, Volleyball and Softball. She played on the State Championship Volleyball team from 1985-1987. During the off-season she played with the Triangle Juniors.
Coach was a 4-year letter winner, captain, and MVP for the Appalachian State University (’91) from Mountaineer Volleyball team. After college she played with the Twisted Sisters Gold USAV team. Choboy also played in numerous outdoor grass and sand volleyball doubles tournaments including qualifying for the Jose Cuervo National Tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Coach Tammy coached Carolina Juniors in Raleigh from 1992-1994, served as Head Volleyball Coach at DI Charleston Southern University from 1994-1996, and served as Head Coach of Gainesville Juniors 18 in Florida from 1996-1998. She joined CCVC as a 12u Developmental Coach in 2005.
She is married to the NC State Men’s Tennis Coach, Jon Choboy. They have 3 children, Madison 10, Landon 7 and Laney 2 1/2. Coach has been involved with playing since the early 1990s, and now recently coaching to help her children love the game.
We are very thankful to have Coach helping us again this season.
