To coach for Capital City Volleyball Club certain requirements implemented mostly by the Carolina Region and some by CCVC are necessary to be met.

All CCVC coaches must be Carolina Region IMPACT certified which requires attendance at the full-day seasonal IMPACT Clinic sponsored by the Carolina Region. For information on the Carolina Region IMPACT Clinics go to the Coach IMPACT Clinic page.
CCVC Clinics
All CCVC Head Coaches must attend two CCVC Coaching Cliinics. While it is optional, Assisant Coaches and Development Coaches should also attend.
For the 2007-2008 season, the CCVC will conduct the COACHES CLINICS on:
Items that will be taught at these CCVC Clinics fall under two categories, including the mechanical hard skills and also the CCVC soft skills:
Mechanical Hard Skills (no particular order)

Teaching and showing drills for platform passing (inline and to the side of center of body). This includes footwork as well.

Teaching and showing drills for the Libero position.

Teaching and showing drills for out of system plays.

Teaching and showing drills for perimeter, rotational and modified rotational defense.

Teaching and showing drills for the different serves (floaters, top spin, jump serve,....)

Teaching and showing drills for transitioning from defense to offense.

Teaching and showing drills for the different blocking techniques and different sets (swing, side to side shuffle, cross
over,.....)

Teaching and showing drills for setting different sets (5, shoot outside, one's, swing, cross, stacks, 31,...)

Drawing several practice plans based on age and team level.

Showing appropriate conditioning and warm-up drills.
