We would especially like to thank Mike Malloy, for his tireless effort as President since the 2001-2002 season. His decication as a founding member and as a visionary leader has allowed CCVC to provide countless young women a volleyball experience that the no local Raleigh area club has offered since 1998.

Executive Board Elections CCVC Parents run for a position as a CCVC Executive Officer each season. The term for the elected Executive Officers and all Board members starts and ends October 1 of the season. Each has a minimum of a 1 year term, with a maximum of 2 years. It is up to the General Members (you all) to vote on an extension for the President, Vice President or any Executive Officer's term at the ending General Member meeting.

The opportunity for active parents to serve in any of these positions is permitted in accordance with the Article 8.1 of the Club bylaws (at this web page link Documents) we request interested parties to nominate themselves for one of the officer positions.

A vote is held at the season ending General Member meeting in May, assuming there is more than a single indiviual interested in each of the Elected Officer positions, otherwise a General Membership meeting vote may not need to be held.

8.1 Officers. The five elected Officers of the Club shall be the President, the Vice President, the Treasurer, the Secretary, and the Registrar, ranking in the order listed. The President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Registrar shall be elected from among members.

The elected officers may decide which office they would like to hold following nominations.

Officers will be elected for a term of one year by the voting membership at the second general membership meeting at the end of each season. Officers may be reelected, and additional elections to fill vacancies may be held as needed. Officers may serve a maximum of two terms in each office. Officers shall serve as volunteers and shall not receive remuneration or compensation other than reimbursement of approved expenses.

Interest in running for an Executive Board position can be presented via email on or before LATE April of the current season. At the final General Membership Meeting, in May, votes are cast for next season's Executive Officers.

  • Executive Board Service Exchange Renumeration or compensation is not offered for any of the Executive Officer postions, the Board (Coaches, Team Reps, Executive Officers) previously approved a dues discount for each of the Executive postions as follows:

    • President 100% discount for 1 child at the dues value for their childs level.
    • Vice President 50% discount for 1 child at the dues value for their childs level.
    • Treasurer 100% discount for 1 child at the dues value for their childs level.
    • Secretary 50% discount for 1 child at the dues value for their childs level.

    • Co-Positions are a 1/2 of the discount the Primary positions have.
    • Team Reps may receive a 10% dues discount using the dues value for the level that their child plays of the team they are representing as a Team Rep. Generally the discount is comensurate to the level of effort that the Team Rep must contribute. The higher the level of the team, the more effort is required and thus a higher discount. (Statement corrected 1/31/08 consistent with past seasons policy and doing what is fair. Deleted the reference to the TR discount being a percentage of the -1 dues values. This was a typo and incorrect.)
    • All players whose parents are coaches and / or are elected officers (Executive Board members) of CCVC shall be guaranteed positions on either a Development team, or on a Competitive team as a competitive player, (with the team level determined by the coaches during the tryout evaluations), as a method of exchange for their service to the Club. Should only one team level exist within that players age group, then this player shall be guaranteed a position on that single team level.
