This will be Coach Kiera's second season with CCVC. She is a graduate from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in American History. At BU, she played club volleyball for 4 years while also holding administrative positions such as secretary vice president and finally, president and captain her senior year.
Coach Kiera has been playing volleyball for 10 years including time to lead Apex High School to the fourth round of State Playoffs in 2001. Adding to her volleyball experience she played for CCVC from 1999 to 2001. Traditionally she has played as an outside hitter but has also played weak side as well as defensive specialist.
She works as a Clinical Trials Assistant in Infectious Disease and Pulmonary Research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham. She is looking to teach and coach at a Wake County high school.
For the 2007-2008 season Coach will be coaching the 16-1 team along with her twin sister Kaylan, who has played with her for 10 years.
Coach is excited to share the love of volleyball at CCVC and to teach her team the fundamentals of the sport, have fun and win!!
