Coach Knaub has been a coach for eleven years, the last nine with CCVC including multiple ages of the 16's, 17's, 14's, 17's, 18's, 14's, and 14's teams. The last thres seasons, 2006-2007, 2005-2006 and the 2004-2005, as the coach of the 14's Gold / Platinum teams, he led his players to gain a bid to attend USAV Junior Nationals.
Beyond his unprecented success the recent seasons, in earlier coaching years, he led the CCVC 16's Frantics to the 1999 Regional Championship. He was the assistant coach for the 2002 17's Regional Gold champion CCVC Cool Cats. Coach Knaub has completed his Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP) Level I certification.
Coach Knaub played four years in USAV for the Sanford Volleyball Club. He plays in the top recreational leagues in local area. He is an experienced player at every position from middle hitter to libero, but plays most often as a setter.
Originally from York, Pennsylvania, Coach Knaub graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Computer Science. He plays volleyball and soccer, and is a die hard Maryland Terrapin fan.
