Capital City Volleyball Club -EXECUTIVE BOARD |
|
|
|
It is the time of the 2007-2008 season to solicit interest from parents to run for a position as a CCVC Executive Officer (Elected Board members) for the 2008-2009 season. The terms for the elected Executive Officers and all Board members starts and ends October 1 of each season and extends to a maximum of 2 years, except where the General Membership votes for a Executive Board member's term extension.
Interest Survey
Please provide information on your interest via the clicking on the survey link below on or before before May 18, 2008. At the final General Membership Meeting, votes shall be cast for the 2008-2009 season Executive Officers.
Click on this SURVEY link to express your interest as a possible CCVC Executive Officer.
It is up to the CCVC General Membership (you all) to vote and elect an Executive Officer term at the year ending General Member meeting to be held...on Sunday June 8th, 2008 at Cary Academy Dining Hall from 2-4 pm.

Overall, each Executive Board role provide selfless leadership and support for the Club's mission, while distancing yourself, as much as possible from the natural parental desire to "protect" your child. You must focus on representing CCVC with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, ethics, positive support for the Coaches and fellow Board members and above all put the interest of CCVC and growing the sport of volleyball first.

Setting Clinic Information |
|
|
|
Capital City Volleyball Club is excited to announce our setting clinics that are designed to give CCVC athletes more opportunities to practice and improve setting skills. This program is designed to work on the mechanics of setting such as footwork, hand position, jump setting, creating a one on one situation, etc.
To register for these Setting Clinics, select this CCVC website link for the Setting Registration.
REVISED 2/17/07 at 12:30 pm
The cost is a $90 flat fee per athlete to attend all seven sessions. The cost is not prorated for attendance at less than 7 sessions. We do recommend that players attend all of the sessions to gain the greatest experience; however, recognize there may be practice, or other conflicts that could interfere with the scheduled sesssions.
Checks are made payable to Capital City Volleyball Club on the first day of the clinics on 2/20 or no later than 3/9.
The fee is $90 per athlete for attendance to all seven sessions.
This program will also focus on the mental part of this important position. Who to set, what kind of set based on the pass, based on the type of hitters, based on the blockers on the other side of the net are all important part of the setting position. Overall this is a full program to initially cover fundamentals and then progress into more advanced setting techniques.
