OFFER GUIDELINES

As FYI...the Carolina Region has strict guidelines related to FORCING PLAYERS TO ACCEPT OFFERS earlier than November 2nd, which is the FINAL DATE for the 12-14s and November 16th for the 15-18s. For more information, please investigate the Carolina Region details at this Tryout Guidelines link, but a summary is below.
 

Players have the right to attend more than one club's tryouts. The Carolina Region recommends that clubs adopt a signing date of NINE DAYS after an age group’s Tryout Period begins (Nov 2 for the 14’s, 13’s, and 12’s age groups; November 16 for the 15’s, 16’s 17’s, and 18’s age groups). Clubs should commit to hold an offer open to a player to join a particular team in the club or the club in general until the respective age group signing date. If the player commits by the signing date, clubs may be considered to have violated the RVA/USAV Code of Conduct if the offer is not honored by the club. Players may voluntarily commit to a club at anytime following the club’s tryouts, but should not be pressured to do so. For tryouts just before or after the signing date, clubs should give a minimum wait period of seven days before requiring a player to commit to their club. The Carolina Region encourages all clubs to use the Letter of Commitment when accepting players into their clubs. This form should not be sent to the Carolina Region, but kept on file with the club should an issue arise about a player’s commitment to a club.

TRYOUT CONFLICTS
For some players that have conflicts, DO NOT WORRY about making the tryout at the precise time, although it is the best and surely the easiest for us, that is to have all players attend exactly as we specified, if you have a conflict, just let us know via email to myccvc@yahoo.com. Also, SIGNUP FOR THE TRYOUT DATE THAT MATCHES YOUR USAV AGE AND not THE DAY you will or plan to attend. Signup for the date YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO ATTEND.

If you wish to attend another club tryout, and there is a conflict, WORK IT OUT between the clubs to come late or leave early. CCVC / TCA will not penalize you for any conflict. With this said please do not take advantage of our helpfulness and courtesy. Please treat us with the same courtesy and respect you would like in return. We WANT YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL and we will help in any way possible.
