Coach Emily Rice
This is Coach Emily's second season with Capital City Volleyball Club. Coach will be part of the coaching staff with the 15s teams. Coach began playing volleyball at age 9 on recreation teams and then at age 12 started to play school and club ball. When she played in the 15's division her team came in first in the region and went to nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah. Coach was the co-captain of her school volleyball team for both her junior and senior year. She was named an All- Conference player her senior year. She started her coaching career last year by assisting a 13's team from her home town.
Coach is originally from Hickory, NC and is now attending NC State Universtiy in order to get a degree in mathematics education. She is a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and takes part in college leadership for Young Life and Campus Crusades.
Coach is a volleyball lover that will teach "volleyball for life and not for a season" and is super excited about this upcoming season!
