This is Coach Jamie Spencer's fifrth season with Capital City Volleyball Club. She will be coaching the 15-1 team with her co-coach from the last 2 seasons, Coach Ashley Pinckney. This dynamic dynamo have been volleyball lifers. Jamie started her volleyball career in 8th grade at Cathedral Elementary in Raleigh, NC and continued playing in high school for Cardinal Gibbons. She was co-captain of the team when they won their first two State Champion titles. While attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jamie played for one of the club teams as well as coaching the Cardinal Gibbons JV volleyball team from 2000-2004. She continues to play and coach as much as possible, and enjoys sharing her love of the game with each girl she has on her roster.
Jamie's previous seasons with CCVC have been extremely successsful, because as both a player and coach, she truly understands the secret of teaching and coaching for learning, fun and competition. Coach is a living example of how CCVC teaches "volleyball for life and not for a season".
