Executive Board Elections CCVC Parents run for a position as a CCVC Executive Officer each season. The term for the elected Executive Officers and all Board members starts and ends October 1 of the season. Each has a minimum of a 1 year term, with a maximum of 2 years. It is up to the General Members (you all) to vote on an extension for the President, Vice President or any Executive Officer's term at the ending General Member meeting.
The opportunity for active parents to serve in any of these positions is permitted in accordance with the Article 8.1 of the Club bylaws (at this web page link Documents) we request interested parties to nominate themselves for one of the officer positions.
A vote is held at the season ending General Member meeting in May, assuming there is more than a single indiviual interested in each of the Elected Officer positions, otherwise a General Membership meeting vote may not need to be held.
Executive Board Position Responsibilities
Below are links that provide further informaiton on the roles and responsbilities of serving as an Executive Officer. Service Exchange
Renumeration or compensation is not offered for any of the Executive Officer postions; however, as an exchange for service these positions are afforded a dues discount. Also, the appointed postions of the Age Group Team Directors, Age Group Registars, Webmaster receive a "stipend" for their service. Further details for both the elected and appointed positions follow below.
Overall, there are a number of positions for both elected and appointed postions, with the appointed positions being offered a "stipend" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stipend) and elected members being offered a dues discount for their service. As part of the organizational structure, there is a webmaster spot, who is an appointed and paid position, as well as a Past President advisor spot. All of the appointments are made by the President. Positions can be "doubled up", like the President can also be a Director of an age group, the Team Registrar can also be elected to serve in a role on the Executive Board. Also, for example, the Executive Board Registrar position can be "doubled up" as an Age Group Registrar. While this is true, we wish to avoid this "doubling up" due to the increased likely hood of "burn-out" potential.

- Co- Positions, where utilized in the organization, receive a 50% discount of the matching Primary position.
- Webmaster receives a 100% discount for 1 child at the highest club dues level or an equivalent stipend. Also, based on the work level, the webmaster may be compensated at a value greater than the 100% discount of the highest dues level, as determined by the President and the Treasurer, based on the season budget.
- Age Group Team Directors, receive a 100% discount for 1 child at the highest dues value or an equivalent stipend, as determined by the President and the Treasurer, based on the season budget, but not less then the highest dues value.
- Coaches with players on team get a 0% discount; however, these coaching positions are financially compensated or paid positions.
- Age Group Team Registrars, receive a 100% discount for 1 child at the highest dues value or an equivalent stipend, as determined by the President and the Treasurer, based on the season budget, but not less then the highest dues value.
- Team Reps may receive a 10% dues discount using the dues value for the level that their child plays of the team they are representing as a Team Rep. Generally the discount is comensurate to the level of effort that the Team Rep must contribute. The higher the level of the team, the more effort is required and thus a higher discount. (Statement corrected 1/31/08 consistent with past seasons policy and doing what is fair. Deleted the reference to the TR discount being a percentage of the -1 dues values. This was a typo and incorrect.)
- All players whose parents are coaches, appointed to a position, and / or are elected officers (Executive Board members) of CCVC shall be guaranteed positions on either a Development team, or on a Competitive team as a practice player or a competitive player, (with the team level determined by the coaches during the tryout evaluations), as an additional method of exchange for their service to the Club. Should only one team level exist within that players age group, then this player shall be guaranteed a position on that single team level.
