Welcome....Thank You!
Now that this Capital City Volleyball Club season is complete, we really, really, really wish to thank ALL of the Parents, Players, Coaches, Team Reps, Executive Board members for the most totally successful year in the 10 season history of our family.
We would like to especially thank our Capital City Volleyball Club Coaches. As a group they accomplished much and have tons to be proud of. THANK YOU for YOUR commitment, to rush to practice after work, to take your Saturdays up with volleyball, to answer parents questions, players skill needs, doing so over 5 months and STILL holding your real full time job! You did it!! THANK YOU!!!!
Beyond this season, we feel the Capital City Volleyball Club players will have fond memories when reflecting back on the all of the good times, the hard times, the tough times and all of the times. We all should be proud knowing the positive impact left on our athletes through the sport of Capital City Volleyball Club volleyball.
We will conclude this Capital City Volleyball Club season with a final General Member Meeting, to be held on June 8th, 2008 at the Cary Academy Dining Hall from 2-4 pm.
We also look forward to having you express interest in being part of the Capital City Volleyball Club leadership team through participation as an Executive Board Officer. More information is available via this Executive Board Election Meeting link.
We look forward to you returning next season ready to meet the challenge again!
Overall, Capital City Volleyball Club did excellent in the Carolina Region Championship events and in the season as a whole. Many of our competitive teams finished in upper spots for their age respective groups from 12s to 18s and from the Platinum Division to the Copper Division.
For the 2007-208 season, we had our strongest performance across a 10 season history, since 1998, not only with the outstanding competitive team finishes, but also providing unsurpassed opportunities for over 300 young women to play competitive club volleyball. We continue to live volleyball for life versus Ws and Ls for a season.
Capital City Volleyball Club is the DEEPEST Carolina Region Club with a high degree of competitive diversity and well-rounded ahtletes. We live:
"....to provide an opportunity for Raleigh area 9 to 18 year old junior athletes to participate in competitive volleyball. We offer multiple levels of competitive play..."
It truly is shown with our season performance through:
- Award of almost 15 Champion medals were awarded to our teams from 12s to 18s, from Copper to Platinum, in Carolina Region tournaments, and from Out-of-Region Shamrock and Williamsburg tournaments.
- Nine of our Capital City Volleyball Club players received All-Tournament honors and two received the MVP award for the 16's Bronze and 18's Silver Division.

Perhaps most importantly, while the reporting of our season performance is exciting for all of the teams, coaches, players and parents that participated with these teams, we would be remiss in not recognizing the success of ALL of our players.
The growth and progression of ALL of our players as volleyball athletes, their growth and knowledge of the sport, their development as young people learning about teamwork, commitment, working together, discipline, tolerance and respect for others, and sportsmanship, is...in the end what the Capital City Volleyball program wants to deliver.
